  1. Short: Join new newsgroups from a function key in Thor

  6. Whenever you get news with Thor, it also gets a list of new newsgroups
  7. on your news server and presents these as an article in a conference
  8. called Information, as well as adding them to the main conference list.

  10. Unfortunately you then have to wait for the full list to load into
  11. memory (over 20,000 groups with my provider) before you can join one
  12. of the new ones.

  14. This script presents the newsgroups from the current information
  15. message in a listview, and creates a join event for the one you
  16. select. Assigning it to a function key means you can join new
  17. groups almost instantly.
